About

a bulgarian virtuoso and a midwest gal with patsy cline dreams

George Dimitrov emerged from behind the Iron Curtain, fingers blazing on lead guitar. He learned English by listening to black market records of Pink Floyd and The Beatles and watching old Westerns. Once in the States, he helped found Orlando band Hindu Cowboys and has shared stages with Brad Paisley, Donna the Buffalo, Los Lobos and Travis Tritt. George’s influences come from all over and he effortlessly weaves together everything from gypsy jazz to blues and straight up rockers in his own unique style.

Rachel Decker was classically trained at Lawrence University's Conservatory of Music but cut her teeth in the Chicago rockabilly scene as a co-lead singer in the band The Honeybees. She recorded and toured extensively, including European runs, playing festivals and sharing stages with High Noon, Nick Curran, and Los Straightjackets amongst others. She also recorded backing vocals on Nick Curran’s final album before his untimely passing. (“Reform School Girl”)

Rachel and George are the husband and wife duo from the Americana band Oak Hill Drifters, out of Orlando, Florida. They met in the band and played music together for years before coming together as a couple, and were married shortly after. They co-wrote the Drifters’ five song EP "The Iris Sessions," which debuted at #26 on the Relix/jambands.com radio charts.  The EP also climbed to #88 on the AMA Americana Albums chart and remained in the top 125 for multiple months in 2023.

Now, in addition to occasionally touring nationally with Oak Hill Drifters, Rachel and George have a weekly residency at L'il Indies in Orlando's hippest neighborhood of Mills/50 and have repeatedly taken their duo internationally. They have opened for such notable Americana and Rockabilly touring acts such as Deke Dickerson, Big Sandy and the Fly Rite Boys, The Pine Hill Haints and many more.

"No Way Left" was originally written in 2014 a few months after the hit-and-run death of Rachel's then-fiancee. After one live showcase performance of the song, she put it away. It took over ten years to finally come back and complete the song with her now-husband, writing partner and producer, George Dimitrov. "No Way Left" attempts to encapsulate the odd but very human mix of detachment and drowning despair that comes from a sudden, total and tragic loss.
